Baxi: commissioning proves a boiler is safe and set right before it is trusted

Boiler commissioning in Greater Vancouver verifies an installation or major repair against the manufacturer's instructions and CSA B149.1: gas supply, combustion settings measured with an analyser, venting, safety devices, controls and documentation.

Boiler Commissioning for Baxi boilers

Installation is not finished when the last pipe is tightened; it is finished when the boiler is proven. Commissioning is the controlled startup and verification sequence: gas supply pressures confirmed, combustion measured and set with a combustion analyser across the firing range, venting and condensate checked in operation, safety devices tested, controls configured and the operating sequence confirmed before the appliance goes into service.

Commissioning belongs after new installations, replacements and retrofits, and after major component changes such as a gas valve or heat exchanger where the manufacturer's instructions require verification. It is also the documentation moment: the record of measured values and settings becomes part of the appliance history and supports warranty questions later.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need commissioning for a boiler that is already running?

If the boiler was never formally commissioned, or after major component changes, a commissioning visit brings it to a documented, verified state, the same standard a new installation should meet.

Who performs commissioning?

Licensed ROMA technicians with combustion analysers, working to the manufacturer's instructions and CSA B149.1 requirements.

What does the commissioning record contain?

Measured combustion values, gas pressures and settings, the safety and control checks performed, and sign-off: the written evidence that the installation was verified rather than assumed.
