Bryant boilers in Canada

Bryant is an American HVAC brand that identifies itself as 'A Carrier Company'. Its current US boilers page lists three gas boilers (BW3 Preferred 84, BS2 Legacy 80 and BWB Legacy 84) alongside two oil models, with official specifications, owner's guides and warranty documents. Bryant's corporate family's Canadian site (carrier.ca) lists no boilers, so canadianStatus stays 'unknown'.

About Bryant

Bryant publishes its residential catalogue from bryant.com and its site footer states 'A Carrier Company'; Carrier's own Our Brands page lists Bryant among its heating and cooling brands. The current US boilers page lists five products: the Preferred 86 oil boilers BW5 and BW4, the Preferred 84 gas boiler BW3 (up to 84.4% AFUE), the Legacy 80 gas boiler BS2 (up to 82.7% AFUE) and the Legacy 84 gas boiler BWB (up to 84% AFUE). The BWB page prints full specifications - rated heating input 60,000-235,000 BTUH, rated heating capacity 50,000-197,000 BTUH, cast iron heat exchanger, titanium composite burners, electronic ignition, standard electric vent damper and water heat format - while the gas pages share the official owner's guides and warranty documents.

The legacy generations are documented from Bryant's document library. The BW9 is a gas-fired direct vent condensing water boiler covered by the official user's information manual across sizes BW9-50 through BW9-200; the BWC/BWH wall-hung condensing boiler is documented by its own user's information manual (BWCAAG000120-150 and BWHAAG000120-150, CAC/BDP, July 2020); and the BWM gas boiler has a published user's information manual (OG-BWMA-01, Rev. A, July 2012). Bryant's boiler limited warranty chart lists BW3/BW4/BW5/BWB with 20-year heat exchanger coverage, BS2 with 12 years, and BW9/BWM with 15 years.

The Canadian picture is unchanged from the brand's corporate family: carrier.ca, the Canadian residential HVAC site, lists air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps and ductless systems with no boilers, so Boilers.ca records canadianStatus 'unknown'. Model-level pages are not published for Bryant's gas boilers because the official pages and documents reviewed here do not print per-model rating rows; owners of installed units should keep the unit's own manual with the boiler and have all gas, combustion and venting work performed by a licensed contractor.

  • The BWC/BWH generation is documented by Bryant's official user's information manual (OG-BWC-H-01, July 2020) for models BWCAAG000120-150 and BWHAAG000120-150. The manual describes condensing wall-hung boiler operation with combi and heating-only variants, DHW pre-heating and a diagnostic error display; the models are not listed on Bryant's current boilers page.

  • The Bryant BWM is a gas boiler documented by Bryant's official user's information manual (OG-BWMA-01, Rev. A, July 2012) and by the boiler limited warranty chart, which lists it alongside the BW9 with a 15-year heat exchanger warranty. The manual text reviewed for this record does not print the boiler type, mounting or rating rows, so the series is published conservatively.
