About the Bryant BW9 (legacy gas boiler)

The BW9 was Bryant's gas-fired direct vent condensing water boiler, and its official user's information manual (OG-BW9A-02) remains published in Bryant's document library. The manual covers model sizes BW9-50 through BW9-200 in two cabinet configurations - BW9-50 through BW9-100 and BW9-125 through BW9-200 - and documents the boiler's operating sequence, combustion air blower, integrated control with diagnostics, pressure switches, condensate management and the annual inspection a qualified service agency performs.

Bryant's current boilers page no longer lists the BW9 - the five products shown are BW5, BW4, BW3, BWB and BS2 - and carrier.ca's Canadian catalogue lists no boilers at all, so Boilers.ca records the series as discontinued with canadianStatus 'unknown'. Bryant's boiler limited warranty chart (39004DP565) still lists the BW9 and BWM with a 15-year heat exchanger warranty and a 10-year parts warranty (5 years if not registered within 90 days).

No per-model rating rows were printed in the manual text reviewed for this record, so Boilers.ca publishes the series without model-level records. Owners of an installed BW9 should keep the manual with the boiler and have all gas, combustion and venting work performed by a licensed contractor - the manual itself directs that installation and service be performed by a qualified installer, service agency or the gas supplier.
