Gas Boiler Installation for Fondital boilers

A boiler installation is a system project, not an appliance swap. The boiler must match the building's heat loss, the emitters must be able to deliver that heat at condensing temperatures, venting must reach a permitted terminal, and the gas supply must carry the input. ROMA plans all of that before a boiler is ordered.

Installation covers new hydronic systems in renovations and new builds, boilers for in-floor heating, indirect tank pairings and combi boilers. Every installation in BC requires gas and heating permits and, where applicable, a Technical Safety BC inspection; these are handled as part of the job.

How is a boiler sized?

By calculating the building's heat loss room by room and adding any indirect-tank demand. Floor area alone is not a sizing method, and oversizing causes short cycling.

Do I need a permit to install a boiler in BC?

Yes. Gas appliance installation and replacement requires a gas permit, and municipalities such as Burnaby also require a heating-system permit. ROMA obtains them as part of the installation.

How long does an installation take?

A like-for-like wall-hung replacement is often a single day; new venting, gas-line upgrades, indirect tanks or hydronic changes add time. The proposal states the expected duration.
