Laars MagnaTherm HTD 2000 in practice
The MagnaTherm HTD 2000 is the 1,999 MBH size of Laars' high-turndown MGH platform, documented in the Document 1425 submittal and the Document 1422 I&O. The submittal sizing table lists 100-1,999 MBH input, 95-1,895 MBH output, 95% boiler thermal efficiency and 93.6% combustion efficiency, with 22 gallons of water content and a 1610 lb shipping weight.
The HTD puts full 20:1 modulation on every size — minimum inputs of 80-200 MBH against 1,600-4,000 MBH maximums — and adds Laars Tru Trac O2 trim, which adjusts the fuel-to-air ratio in real time across the turndown range. Like the base MagnaTherm it is a gasketless stainless-steel micro-fin water-tube design with the Laars Linc touchscreen control, Vari-Prime pump control, low NOx and electrical packages for 120, 240, 480 or 600 VAC.
