The Mascot LX is Laars' discontinued wall-mounted modulating line in seven boiler sizes from 50 to 220 MBH — MLX 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175 and 220 — plus the MLXC combi at 125, 150 and 175 MBH, all rated 95% AFUE. Laars files the 1285 I&O manual and warranty under Discontinued Documents.

The Mascot LX manual covers the MLXH wall-mounted modulating boiler in 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175 and 220 MBH and the MLXC combination boiler in 125, 150 and 175 MBH. The sizing table prints each size's input and output — 50,000/47,500 BTU/h up to 220,000/209,000 BTU/h — at 95% AFUE, with 1/2 in NPT gas connections throughout, 3/4 in NPT water connections on the 50 through 125 sizes stepping to 1 in NPT on the 150 through 220 sizes, and combi domestic-water outputs of 3.1, 3.7 and 4.3 gpm at a 75°F rise on the MLXC 125, 150 and 175.
The manual's nomenclature decodes the rating plate: M LX for the series, H or C for hydronic versus combination, W for wall-hung, the three-digit size, N or P for fuel, A for the altitude band, a revision digit, an options code (X standard or L low-water cut-off) and a pump option (N with pump). Piping is printed by size group: 50 through 125 use 3/4 in PVC condensate, 3/4 in copper hydronic return, 1/2 in NPT DHW inlet and 3/4 in NPT supply, while 150 through 220 use 3/4 in PVC condensate, 1 in NPT return and supply, 1/2 in NPT DHW and 3/4 in copper second return and supply.
Laars no longer links a Mascot LX page from its current residential navigation and the product URL returns 404; the Document Library files Document 1285, its French version and the Mascot LX parts list and warranty sheet under Discontinued Documents. The manual's shipping weights run from 88 lb (MLX 50) to 161 lb (MLX 220), with the combis at 133, 148 and 163 lb for the 125, 150 and 175.

Every MLX size in the Document 1285 sizing table is printed at 95% AFUE, with natural gas or propane fuel and a 4% per 1,000 ft derate above 2,000 ft.
