The NeoTherm XTR is the natural-gas answer at the top of Laars' commercial boiler range: six sizes — 399, 500, 650, 800, 999 and 1500 MBH — in boiler (NT2H) and volume water heater (NT2V) versions on one platform, per the Installation and Operation Instructions cover (Document 1475C). The product page headlines 96% thermal efficiency and 10:1 turndown, backed by a responsive dual-venturi combustion system, a stainless-steel low-pressure-drop heat exchanger and low NOx emissions.
XTR units run on the Laars Linc touchscreen control — Laars calls it a universal control platform across its commercial heating products, with plain-language diagnostics, cascading of up to eight units and BMS compatibility — paired with Vari-Prime pump control, which runs a variable-speed boiler pump to hold a user-selectable fixed temperature rise. Venting is Category II or IV up to 150 equivalent feet with exhaust connections that adapt to stainless steel, polypropylene or CPVC; an outdoor kit is available and up to eight units can common-vent.
Laars steers 399-1500 MBH natural-gas buyers to the XTR: the commercial NeoTherm page carries the cross-reference "Looking for natural gas units from 399 to 1500 MBH? The XTR page prints no per-product restriction, and the back cover of the XTR Installation and Operation Instructions (Document 1475C) lists Laars' Canadian office: 9 Brigden Gate, Halton Hills, Ontario, Canada L7G 0A3. Laars' site also carries Canadian programs (Rebate Center - Canada and Factory Training - Canada). Confirm current sizes and configuration with Laars Canada or an authorized Canadian distributor.
The XTR is the newer natural-gas 399-1500 MBH platform with 10:1 turndown and the Laars Linc control, while the plain commercial NeoTherm remains the 399-850 MBH line whose researched page prints propane-fueled configurations.
