About the Efficiency+ (EB/EW)
The Efficiency+ Boiler sat under "Boilers > Residential Boilers" on Lochinvar's old official site, which today labels the page "Out Of Production": the archived page headline reads "Efficiency+ Boiler — 150,000 to 300,000 Btu/Hr inputs — 84% Thermal Efficiency," with a heavy-duty gasketless heat exchanger, a direct venting option and radiant-heating suitability in the feature list. Lochinvar's parts and I&O document titles name the family as "EB-EW100-300" and "EB/EW150-300 I&O".
Two naming traps matter for owners: the Efficiency+ codes are EB/EW, not "PBN" — the PBN/PBL codes on lochinvar.com today belong to the Power-fin copper-tube vertical commercial boiler — and the Efficiency+ is not a condensing boiler, despite its "+" name; it was the non-condensing residential predecessor of the current Solution line (CBN045-260, still listed at 84% AFUE on the residential page). No live lochinvar.com page exists for the Efficiency+ today, which is why Boilers.ca relies on the 2021 Wayback capture of the official page.
