Nebraska Boiler service
Nebraska Boiler: hydronic zoning and balancing: the fix for rooms that are always wrong
Zoning and balancing for hydronic heating systems in Greater Vancouver: adding or repairing zones and balancing water flow between circuits so each room receives the heat it needs, the service for cold rooms, overheated rooms and one-zone houses.

Hydronic Zoning and Balancing for Nebraska Boiler boilers
Hydronic systems are only as good as their balance. When the path of least resistance steals the flow, radiators at the end of the loop stay lukewarm while rooms near the boiler overheat, and a single zone means the whole house heats whenever one room is cold. Zoning divides the system into areas that can be controlled separately; balancing adjusts flow between them so each delivers its design heat.
ROMA's zoning and balancing work covers adding zones to existing systems, replacing or repairing zone valves and circulators, arranging the control wiring to the boiler, and measuring and adjusting flow through radiator and in-floor circuits. The result is verified room by room rather than assumed from pipe sizes, and the work respects the boiler's minimum flow and operating limits.

Process
How it works
- 01
Tell us which rooms are wrong
The pattern of cold and overheated areas guides the diagnosis.
- 02
Trace the system
Pipe layout, valves, circulators and existing zones are mapped on site.
- 03
Zone and balance
Work is completed and flow is measured circuit by circuit.
- 04
Verify
Room temperatures and the operating sequence are checked before sign-off.

Frequently asked questions
One room is always cold even when the others are fine. What causes that?
Common causes are imbalanced flow, a zone that is not operating, or undersized piping to that circuit. The visit traces the actual system rather than guessing, because the three causes need three different fixes.
Can a zone be added to my existing single-zone system?
In many systems, yes, with a zone valve or dedicated circulator wired into the boiler's control logic. Compatibility depends on the boiler and piping arrangement, which is confirmed on site.
Is balancing something I could do by adjusting valves?
Adjusting a valve without measuring is trial and error, and a wrong setting can starve other circuits or violate the boiler's minimum flow. Balancing uses measured temperatures and pressures, circuit by circuit.
