About the RLS Series (dual-fuel gas/light-oil burners)
The RLS Series is Riello's dual-fuel burner family, firing on both gas and light oil. Riello's range pages describe the RLS burners as designed for 'low or medium temperature hot water boilers, hot air or steam generators, diathermic oil boilers', with two-stage operation on both the gas and light-oil side and an LED diagnostic panel on the smaller ranges. As with the RX and RS families, a burner is not a boiler: it is the combustion equipment that mounts on the fired appliance.
The 2025 Technical Sales Catalogue prints firing ranges for the captured RLS families: RLS 28-50 from 100 to 581 kW (two-stage; models RLS 28/38/50 with printed light-oil and natural-gas inputs and CE-0085CT0269 certification); RLS 70-130 from 232 to 1,395 kW; RLS 68-160/M MX from 200 to 1,840 kW; RLS 68-200/E MX from 350 to 2,322 kW; and RLS 190-250/M MZ from 550 to 2,460 kW. Larger families including RLS 310-610, RLS 1000-1200 and RLS 1300-2000 are indexed in the same catalogue.
The captured RLS 28-50 table prints per-model data for both fuels — for example RLS 50: 145/290-581 kW, 12.3/24.5-49 kg/h light oil and 15/29-58 Nm³/h natural gas, 0.91 kW total electrical power, 3/400/50 supply — confirming the dual-fuel ratings are published per model. Operation on the E MX range uses a Siemens LMV26 control managing the air-fuel ratio with independent servomotors, two-stage progressive or modulating.
Riello's official market selector lists Canada, but no per-product Canadian approval statement appears on the captured pages, so canadianStatus is unknown. Boilers.ca documents the RLS Series as combustion equipment; no boiler performance is claimed.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Riello RLS Series a boiler?
No. RLS is a family of dual-fuel burners that mount on boilers, hot-air or steam generators and diathermic oil boilers. Riello is a burner manufacturer; Boilers.ca documents the family as combustion equipment, not as a boiler line.
What fuels does an RLS burner use?
Gas and light oil. The official range pages describe 'two-stage operation on both gas and light oil side', and the catalogue prints separate light-oil (kg/h) and natural-gas (Nm³/h) inputs per model.
What output range does the RLS Series cover?
The captured families run from 100-581 kW (RLS 28-50) through 350-2,322 kW (RLS 68-200/E MX) and 550-2,460 kW (RLS 190-250/M MZ), with larger RLS 310-610, 1000-1200 and 1300-2000 families indexed in the same official catalogue.
