Slant/Fin Liberty, Sentry and Galaxy (cast iron)

This hub covers Slant/Fin's cast-iron gas boiler lines as the manufacturer documents them. The official Slant/Fin library indexes the cast-iron series under its 'Vintage' section by name - Liberty entries (Liberty II, Liberty L-Series and Liberty LD-Series), the Sentry series and Galaxy entries (the GG series and the GX/GXH/GXHA series) - recorded under boilerType 'non-condensing'.

Cast-iron units of this type have been installed in older homes across North America, and Slant/Fin continues to publish literature for the lines in its library even though none of them has an active product page. No official Canadian-sales statement was found, so canadianStatus stays 'unknown'; Boilers.ca keeps this hub so owners of an installed Liberty, Sentry or Galaxy unit can identify their line and direct service properly.

An installed cast-iron Slant/Fin boiler is serviced by a licensed contractor against the documentation for the unit's own series and era; no general code list applies across these lines.
