Slant/Fin Galaxy (GXH/GXHA, GXH-II and GG Series)

The Galaxy is Slant/Fin's gas cast-iron boiler family, held in the active 'Boilers' library section across three hubs: the GXH/GXHA steam models (GXH-230/250/275/300H with external draft hood; GXHA-100/120/160/200 with integral draft diverter), the GXH-II water models (GXHII-95/115/135/155) and the GG water series (GG-75H through GG-399H). Ratings live on the rating plate and image-only Energy Guide labels, so no model records are created.

The Galaxy hubs document a gas conversion field assembly kit; the GG IOM prints a ½" gas valve (¾" on GG-250H and up) and the GXH/GXHA steam IOM prints ½" f.p.t. gas valves. Boilers.ca records the line on its gas taxonomy; confirm an installed unit's fuel from its rating plate.
Venting
Category I natural draft chimney venting. The GXH steam models use an external draft hood and the GXHA steam models an integral draft diverter; the GXH-II and GG water models are natural-draft chimney boilers, per the official IOMs.

About the Galaxy (GXH/GXHA, GXH-II and GG Series)

The Galaxy is Slant/Fin's gas cast-iron boiler family, documented across three hubs in the active 'Boilers' library section: 'Galaxy GXH/GXHA' (steam), 'Galaxy GXH-II' (water) and 'Galaxy GG Series' (water). Slant/Fin prints no 'current' or 'discontinued' sentence; section placement is the only official status wording, so Boilers.ca describes the family as current library / documents available on slantfin.com without asserting current production. A separate 'Galaxy' hub in the Vintage section covers the legacy family and is not part of this record.

The GXH/GXHA steam IOM (Pub. GGS-41 Rev. A, 419) names GXH-230, GXH-250, GXH-275 and GXH-300H with an external draft hood, and GXHA-100, GXHA-120, GXHA-160 and GXHA-200 with an integral draft diverter; all use a ½" f.p.t. gas valve, low-pressure steam and a steam controls assembly (pressuretrol, low water cut-off and gauge glass) with no electronic display or code table. The GXH-II water IOM (Pub. GXHII-42, 0121) names GXHII-95, GXHII-115, GXHII-135 and GXHII-155 — natural-draft chimney boilers with the Hydrolevel HydroStat 3200-03 control; no ratings or fault-code table is printed in the text.

The GG water IOM (Pub. GG-42, 0221) covers GG-75H through GG-399H (including the legacy GG-75…GG-225 range), a natural-draft chimney boiler with a HydroStat 3200-03/3200-Plus control and a ½" gas valve (¾" on GG-250H and up). Ratings for all Galaxy lines are on the rating plate and in official Energy Guide label PDFs that are image-only; no OCR was performed and no values were invented, so Boilers.ca keeps the Galaxy at series level with the printed model codes. No official Canadian-sales statement was found, so canadianStatus stays 'unknown'; gas, steam, venting and combustion work belongs with a licensed contractor.

Frequently asked questions

What models does the Slant/Fin Galaxy cover?

The current-library hubs name GXH-230, GXH-250, GXH-275, GXH-300H and GXHA-100, GXHA-120, GXHA-160, GXHA-200 (steam), GXHII-95, GXHII-115, GXHII-135, GXHII-155 (GXH-II water) and GG-75H through GG-399H (GG water).

Are Galaxy boilers steam or water?

Both: the GXH/GXHA models are low-pressure steam boilers (external draft hood on GXH, integral draft diverter on GXHA) and the GXH-II and GG models are hot water boilers, all Category I natural draft cast iron.

Where are the Galaxy ratings?

On the rating plate and in the official Energy Guide label PDFs, which are image-only — the IOMs print no per-model ratings table in text. No OCR was performed, so Boilers.ca does not list per-model values and keeps the family at series level.

Is the Galaxy still sold?

Slant/Fin prints no 'current' or 'discontinued' sentence; these hubs sit in the active 'Boilers' library section with current documents, which Boilers.ca describes as current library / documents available on slantfin.com. A separate 'Galaxy' hub in the Vintage section covers the legacy family.
