Triangle Tube Prestige Excellence 110 in practice

The Excellence 110 is the only Excellence ever sold — no 150 or 199 version exists in any official source — and it blends the Prestige Solo's stainless steel fire-tube heating side with domestic hot water production inside the unit. Its 20 to 110 MBH input range, 95% AFUE, CTRLMax control and up to 5.5:1 turndown match the Solo, while the domestic side carries 14 gallons of internal capacity with a published 55-gallon 10-minute peak flow, a 210 GPH first-hour rating and 180 GPH (3.0 GPM) of continuous flow at a 70°F rise.

The Excellence product page was removed from the site's combi navigation before the February 2025 recall archive, and the company ceased operations on November 3, 2025, leaving the August 2020 installation manual as the service reference for the installed base. Recall check: PTE110 and PTE110LP serial ranges (December 2011-December 2015) and PEA110 ranges (December 2015-December 2019) appear in the Health Canada recall table for the Excellence.

Best suited to

  • Homes that want combi hot water with 110 MBH-scale heating and internal storage
  • Owners verifying their Excellence serial prefix against the February 2025 recall
  • Service technicians matching CTRLMax-era parts and manual references to the unit

FuelNatural gas or propaneThe CTRLMax-era I&M prints an identical 110,000 BTU/h maximum for propane; earlier PT-era (2014) Excellence documentation derated LP input to 97,000 BTU/h, so the LP rating depends on the unit's generation.
