Both units are DHW-only condensing appliances on the AERguard stainless-steel helical firetube heat exchanger with the Edge controller. AERCO's TDS prints 625 MBH input for the 600N and 800 MBH for the 800N, with certified efficiency (DOE 10 CFR Part 431) of 93% and 94% respectively.
Modulation favours the larger unit: turndown up to 16:1 on the 800N versus 12:1 on the 600N. Both accept an optional 4" flue and air intake against the standard 6", so the smaller unit is not disadvantaged on venting options.
