Comparison

Dunkirk DCC-150 vs DCC-205

Verdict in brief

The DCC-205 is the top DCC combi: DHW input reaches 205 MBH at 5.0 GPM (70 °F rise) against the DCC-150's 153 MBH and 3.5 GPM, central heating runs to 164 MBH against 125 MBH, and heating capacity rises from 113 to 153 MBH — but the 205 steps up to the deep 21-1/2" cabinet at 125 lb with 1" system connections and 5"/3" coaxial venting.

What actually separates them

Both are wall-hung combis of the DCC/DCB AI family at 95% AFUE (per the sell sheet). The DCC-150 is the shallow 13-9/16" cabinet at 103 lb; the DCC-205 uses the deep 21-1/2" cabinet at 125 lb with 1-1/4 gallons of water content, 1" system supply/return (G straight thread) and 3/4" copper-sweat DHW connections.

The sell sheet prints CH input of 22-125 MBH on the DCC-150 against 29.5-164 MBH on the DCC-205, heating capacity of 113 versus 153 MBH and net water ratings of 98 versus 133 MBH. DHW input runs 22-153 MBH at 3.5 GPM on the 150 and 29.5-205 MBH at 5.0 GPM on the 205.

The 205's minimum fires (29.5 MBH) sit well above the 150's 22 MBH, so in a low-load building the smaller combi condenses more hours. Both models sit on a page printing '(While supplies last)' with zero current documents, so the comparison is about servicing or finding parts for installed units rather than new purchases.

Frequently asked questions

Is the DCC-205's 5.0 GPM a heating figure?

No — it is the combi's DHW flow at a 70 °F temperature rise as printed in the sell sheet table.

Do the two models install the same?

No — the DCC-205 is the deep 21-1/2" cabinet at 125 lb with 1" system connections and 5"/3" coaxial venting, versus 13-9/16" depth, 103 lb, 3/4" connections and 4"/2" coaxial venting on the DCC-150.

Can I still buy a DCC-205?

The official page prints '(While supplies last)' with no current documents — availability is limited to remaining dealer stock; new installations would normally be quoted with Dunkirk's current Royal series instead.
