The UFT-140W is the top of the compact group — 100 lb at 17.5 x 34 x 15.4 in, 14,000–140,000 BTU/hr input, 133 MBH heating capacity at 95.0% DOE AFUE. The UFT-175W moves to the wider 19.7 x 37 x 16.8 in wall cabinet at 110 lb, with the floor version stepping to 140 lb and the 22 x 48 x 18 in floor frame.
The 175 fires 19,900–175,000 BTU/hr to 166 MBH of heating capacity at 95.9% DOE AFUE, the second-best printed figure in the UFT line. Its minimum fire (19,900 BTU/hr) is well above the 140's 14,000 BTU/hr, so in a low-load home the larger boiler modulates on a higher floor in shoulder seasons.
HTP's own submittal (LP-555) notes the 175,000 BTU/hr models carry a turndown of 8.79 to 1 rather than the family's 10 to 1 claim. Venting rules and connections are otherwise unchanged — 2" to 50 ft or 3" to 100 ft, 1-1/4" NPT CH — so the choice turns on the heat-loss calculation and how low the home actually needs to fire.
