About the Buderus GC144 II (Logano GC 144 II)

The Logano GC 144 II is an atmospheric gas boiler with a cast-iron heat exchanger for single or multiple-occupancy buildings. The installation manual's dimensions/specs table lists 18/3 at 74,000 BTU/hr, 25/4 at 103,000 BTU/hr and 32/5 at 132,500 BTU/hr, with dry weights of 228, 287 and 349.5 lb, water volumes of 2.4, 2.9 and 3.4 US gallons, maximum boiler temperature 220 °F and maximum operating pressure 58 psi. The chapter 16 technical specifications add main gas orifice identification, manifold pressures for natural gas and LP, and burner input rates by altitude to 8,500 ft.

Bosch's US 'Discontinued Boilers' section carries a GC144 product page with the installation, operating, spare-parts and propane-conversion documents, and the discontinued Buderus products library repeats the set. There is no GC144 in the current Canadian catalog. Boilers.ca records the three sizes as historical models with live manual links.

Frequently asked questions

Is the GC144 II discontinued?

Yes. It appears on Bosch's US 'Discontinued Boilers' product page and in the discontinued Buderus products documentation library, and it is not in the current Canadian catalog.

What sizes did the GC144 II come in?

Three: GC144 II 18/3 at 74,000 BTU/hr, 25/4 at 103,000 BTU/hr and 32/5 at 132,500 BTU/hr, per the installation manual dimensions/specs table.

Does the GC144 II have error codes?

No. The GC 144 II uses a mechanical ignition module and adjustable boiler temperature controller rather than a code-displaying electronic control, so the manual set contains no discrete fault-code table.
