The PHNTM285 is the top Phantom-X size: 57–285 MBH input for 262 MBH heating capacity (gross output) and a 228 MBH net AHRI water rating at 95.0% AFUE (product ratings table; I&O manual 105357-06, 12/24). The stainless steel water-tube condensing platform runs the modulating burner at 5:1 turndown on the Sage2.x control with outdoor reset sensor, domestic priority, freeze protection and lead/lag for up to 8 boilers.
The unit stands 43-7/16" (B) tall with dimension A of 21-13/16", holds 2.4 gal of water, ships at about 256 lb, and steps its connections to 1-1/4" NPT supply/return with 3/4" NPT gas. Like the 210 it offers multiple direct-vent options (two-pipe and concentric per the manual) and stackable installation. Ratings reduce 4% per 1,000 ft above 2,000 ft, LP above 7,000 ft is not permitted, and Canadian installations above 4,500 ft should consult the authority having jurisdiction.
