Fulton VANTAGE VTG-5000 in practice
The VTG-5000 is the 5 MMBTU/hr size of Fulton's VANTAGE condensing firetube line. The Standard Technical Data Sheet (VTG_TDS_241118) prints 5,000,000 BTU/hr rated input, 4,630,000 BTU/hr rated output at 92.6% thermal efficiency and 138 boiler horsepower, with 6" ANSI 150# FLG water connections, a 2-1/2" NPT gas connection, a 12 in combustion air intake and a 14 in flue vent.
The VANTAGE is built on a high-mass duplex-stainless vessel; the Standard TDS prints a typical flow of 463 gpm at a 20°F rise and no minimum flow requirement, and the page carries a lifetime thermal-shock warranty. Dual-fuel VTG-DF variants at the same sizes add #2 oil back-up and are documented in the separate VTG-DF Technical Data Sheet (250909).
Best suited to
- Commercial hydronic loads near 5,000,000 BTU/hr input
- Plants wanting a high-mass firetube with no minimum flow requirement
- Buildings planning a future #2 oil back-up conversion (VTG-DF variants)
