Ideal Commodore Wall CB299W in practice
The CB299W opens the Commodore Wall commercial line at 299 MBH maximum input with a 46 MBH minimum and a 6.5:1 turndown — the highest modulation ratio in the series. Output is 289 MBH with a 238 MBH net AHRI rating, and it is the only Commodore Wall model with a printed AFUE row, at 95.1%.
The chassis is shared across the line: 17.5 x 33.33 x 21.2 inches at 184 lb, with 2.1 gallons rated volume, 1-1/2-inch supply/return, 1-inch gas and 4-inch vent/air connections. Vent length is published at 200 feet. Modbus is standard, BACnet is an optional accessory, and the unit is field-convertible between natural gas and propane.
The CB299W is also the building block for the smaller Commodore Wall Cascade racks, including the RS0600BL2D3 (two boilers, 598 MBH total input). Cascade capacity reaches 16 boilers. The published installation and service manual and submittal sheet document the model. No explicit Canadian sales statement was found on the official pages checked on 2026-09-09; the Exalt and Gallant submittals list ANSI Z21.13 and CSA 4.9 compliance, so Boilers.ca records canadianStatus as unknown.
