About the Commodore Floor

The Commodore Floor is the largest condensing line in the Ideal Heating North America catalogue: four floor-standing commercial models — CB1250F, CB2000F, CB3000F and CB4000F — with published input ranges of 156–1,200, 236–2,000, 420–3,000 and 500–4,000 MBH. Output is 1,200, 1,945, 2,858 and 3,920 MBH with AHRI net ratings of 1,043, 1,691, 2,485 and 3,409 MBH. The page headlines 'market leading thermal efficiency up to 99.9%', and the per-model rows print thermal efficiency of 97.0%, 98.0%, 99.0% and 99.9% with combustion efficiency of 96.6%, 97.0%, 97.5% and 98.0%.

The chassis is built for commercial mechanical rooms: rated water volume runs from 11.0 to 45.3 gallons, supply/return connections are 2-1/2 inch Victaulic on the two smaller models and 4-inch on the two larger, gas connections are 2-inch NPT throughout, and vent/air connections step from 8-inch/8-inch to 12-inch/12-inch. Weights run from 992 lb (CB1250F) to 2,314 lb (CB4000F), with cabinet widths of 55 to 95.5 inches. Turndown ratios are 8:1, 8.5:1, 7.2:1 and 8:1, vent length is 150 feet for all four models, and the units are field-convertible between natural gas and propane with Modbus standard and BACnet available as an option.

Cascade capacity reaches 16 boilers, and the published installation and service manual, user manual and two submittal sheets (CB 1250–2000 and CB 3000–4000) document the line. The series carries its own Ideal Advantage warranty schedule, with a 5-year primary heat exchanger under the standard tier. As with the rest of the catalogue, no explicit Canadian sales statement was found on the official pages checked on 2026-09-09, so canadianStatus is recorded as unknown.

What efficiency does the Commodore Floor print?

Per-model thermal efficiency rows read 97.0% (CB1250F), 98.0% (CB2000F), 99.0% (CB3000F) and 99.9% (CB4000F), with combustion efficiency of 96.6%, 97.0%, 97.5% and 98.0%.

How much water does a Commodore Floor boiler hold?

Rated water volume is 11.0 gallons (CB1250F), 16.2 (CB2000F), 34.6 (CB3000F) and 45.3 (CB4000F) per the official model table.
