The MagnaTherm FT CFH3000 is the 3,000 MBH size of Laars' high-turndown condensing firetube boiler — a boiler-only line with no volume water heater version — documented in the Document 1460 submittal and the Document 1462 I&O. The submittal sizing table lists 150-3,000 MBH input, 143-2,850 MBH output, 95.9% thermal efficiency, 95.9% combustion efficiency and a 20:1 turndown ratio, with 149 gallons of water content and a 2250 lb shipping weight.
The FT uses a stainless firetube heat exchanger with Laars CF-Tech contoured flue tubes, which create turbulent flow for even heat transfer and let the exchanger flex under thermal cycling, and the Tru Trac O2 trim system manages the fuel-to-air ratio in real time across the range. It runs on the Laars Linc touchscreen control with cascade up to eight units and Vari-Prime pump control, and its venting is Category II or Category IV per the brochure, with Canadian installations requiring exhaust vent pipe certified to ULC S636.
