The MagnaTherm FT is Laars' high-turndown condensing firetube boiler — boiler only, no volume water heater version — in CFH 1000, 1500, 2000 and 3000 sizes from 67 to 3000 MBH input, with 95.4-95.9% thermal efficiency, up to 20:1 modulation and CF-Tech contoured flue tubes.

The MagnaTherm FT is the firetube member of the MagnaTherm family: a 'High Turndown Condensing Firetube Boiler' in CFH models 1000, 1500, 2000 and 3000, with no volume water heater version. The brochure sizing table prints model inputs of 67-999 MBH (CFH1000), 75-1500 (CFH1500), 100-1999 (CFH2000) and 150-3000 (CFH3000), with 15:1 turndown on the 1000 and 20:1 on the other three sizes.
Thermal efficiency in the same table runs 95.4% to 95.9% (95.8% at CFH1000, 95.9% at CFH1500 and CFH3000, 95.4% at CFH2000) with an AHRI-certified 95% headline on the brochure. The stainless firetube heat exchanger uses Laars CF-Tech contoured flue tubes, which create turbulent flow for even heat transfer and let the exchanger flex under thermal cycling, and the Tru Trac O2 trim system manages the fuel-to-air ratio in real time across the range.
The FT runs on the Laars Linc touchscreen control with cascade up to eight units, Vari-Prime pump control and voltage packages to 120/208/240/480/600 VAC by model. Its venting is Category II or Category IV per the brochure, and Canadian installations must use exhaust vent pipe certified to ULC S636 — a reminder that this is a condensing appliance producing corrosive condensate.
