Lochinvar Squire SET065 in practice

The Squire SET065 is a 67-gallon indirect water heater in the SET family of Lochinvar's Squire line. The printed submittal table lists 0.5°F/hr standby loss, 54 gallons of first-hour delivery, 24 gph continuous delivery and a 149 lb shipping weight.

The Squire stores domestic hot water and reheats it from the heating boiler through its stainless steel coil; the tank and coil are 316L passivated stainless steel in fully welded construction, with 1-1/2" domestic connections and 1" boiler supply/return connections. The submittal includes a tank sensor for use with KNIGHT heating boilers, and the warranty is limited lifetime with 5-year parts (10-year tank and 1-year parts in commercial applications). The SET family adds a 4500 W stainless steel electric heating element for backup.

Best suited to

  • Households pairing a 67-gallon tank with a heating boiler
  • Homes that want domestic hot water stored in stainless steel rather than a combi
  • Solar hot water systems that need a solar-indirect tank
