The Squire is Lochinvar's indirect water heater line — 17 models from 30 to 119 gallons across the SIT single-wall, SIT double-wall, SDT solar and SET solar-with-electric-backup families — with 316L passivated stainless steel tanks and coils and a tank sensor for Knight boilers.

The Squire uses the boiler that heats the home to make domestic hot water: Lochinvar's product page describes 17 models with capacities from 30 to 119 gallons, a 316L passivated stainless steel tank and coil, fully welded construction, a dent-resistant jacket and a factory-supplied tank sensor for use with Knight heating boilers. The line splits into four families with their own submittals: the single-wall SIT (SIT030-SIT119), the double-wall SIT-DW (SIT040DW-SIT119DW, coil open to atmosphere), the solar SDT (SDT065-SDT119, with 316L solar and boiler coils) and the solar-with-electric-backup SET (SET065-SET119, with a 4500 W stainless element).
The SIT-Sub-03 submittal prints the performance table used on the SIT model records: heat-source water volumes of 1.1-2.5 gallons, standby losses of 0.5-1.5°F/hr, first draws of 24-106 gallons, continuous delivery of 160-181 gph, first-hour delivery of 184-280 gallons, minimum coil loads of 90,000-133,000 BTU/hr and flow rates of 14.0 gpm with friction losses of 3.9-5.7 ft. Domestic connections are 1" on the 30-50 models and 1-1/2" on the 65-119 models, with 1" boiler supply/return and coil connections. The SIT-Sub-03 performance data is based on 180°F boiler water and 58°F incoming water at a 77°F rise, and the warranty is limited lifetime with 5-year parts (10-year tank and 1-year parts in commercial use).

Both are 316L stainless steel indirect tanks; the SIT has a single-wall heating coil and the SIT-DW has a double-wall coil that is open to atmosphere. The DW family is covered by its own submittal (SDW-Sub-04) and runs from SIT040DW to SIT119DW.
Yes. The SIT-Sub-03 submittal notes the tank includes a sensor for use with KNIGHT heating boilers; other boilers can use the optional thermostat. Domestic hot water is stored in the tank and reheated by the boiler through the coil.
