Navien · NPN-E Non-Condensing Tankless Water Heaters (DHW)
Navien NPN-160E
The Navien NPN-160E is a non-condensing tankless water heater — a DHW-only appliance, not a boiler — firing 10,700 to 160,000 BTU/h at 0.81 UEF with up to 7.6 GPM at a 35°F rise.

Navien NPN-160E in practice
The NPN-160E is a non-condensing tankless water heater in Navien's NPN-E line. the NPN Specification Sheet prints an input range of 10,700 to 160,000 BTU/h and a Uniform Energy Factor of 0.81; the official product page publishes up to 7.6 GPM at a 35°F (19.4°C) temperature rise. It heats domestic hot water on demand and has no hydronic heating circuit.
The unit weighs 55 lb in a 14 W × 23 H × 9.3 D in cabinet, connects on 3/4" NPT water and gas lines, and is installed outdoor wall-hung (exterior). Recirculation control built into the circuit board. As a non-condensing appliance it is designed to avoid flue-gas condensation; venting and clearances follow the installation manual.
The NPN product pages live on navieninc.com; the launch press release was also published on navieninc.ca, but no Canadian availability statement was found on the product pages, so Canadian availability is recorded as unknown. For homes that need space heating as well as hot water, Navien's combi boilers (NCB-H, NFC-H) are the boiler products; a tankless water heater such as the NPN-160E covers domestic hot water only and is sized on peak hot-water demand, not on a building heat-loss calculation.
Best suited to
