What actually separates them

Both combis integrate the same DHW hydro block architecture — flat plate heat exchanger, boiler circulator, 3-way valve and instantaneous DHW flow sensor — with the Alta FastPipe primary/secondary header included and a Grundfos UPS-78 Special circulator. Both print 95.0% AFUE and carry the OneTouch control.

The 200 is the flagship: heating input 20–150 MBH for 141 MBH heating capacity and a 123 MBH net AHRI rating (the 136B prints 13.6–120 MBH, 113 MBH and 98 MBH), while DHW input reaches 20.0–200 MBH against the 136B's 13.6–136 MBH — the only printed 200 MBH figure in the six-model Alta table.

DHW delivery scales with the combis' inputs: the 200 prints 5.2 GPM at a 70°F rise (4.7 at 77°F) against the 136B's 3.7 (3.4 at 77°F). Physically the 200 is the larger chassis — 20.4 in deep and 116 lb versus 16.3 in and 95 lb — so the choice between them follows both the space-heating load and the household's simultaneous DHW demand.
