Comparison

Dunkirk DMG-240 vs DMG-380

Verdict in brief

The DMG-240 and DMG-380 are Dunkirk's current condensing DMG pair with very different physical packages: the DMG-240 is wall-hung (or on an optional floor base) at 241 MBH maximum input, 95% AFUE (ENERGY STAR) and a 50 psi ASME rating, while the DMG-380 is a floor-standing commercial unit at 379 MBH, 95% thermal efficiency and 80 psi ASME — roughly 110 lb heavier, with 1-1/2" boiler connections against the 240's 1".

What actually separates them

Both models share the DMG construction recipe — 316L stainless steel heat exchanger and burner, direct spark ignition with combination flame sensor and igniter, built-in boiler loop pump, digital display with diagnostics, optional plug-and-play CSD-1 kit and the included LABOR SAVER manifold — and both pages carry current documents.

The brochure table separates them on capacity and mounting: the DMG-240 fires 36-241 MBH to 216 MBH of heating capacity and a 188 MBH net water rating at 95% AFUE with a 6.7:1 turndown, while the DMG-380 fires 35-379 MBH to 348 MBH of capacity and a 303 MBH net rating at 95% thermal efficiency with a 10.5:1 turndown.

Installation differences decide between them: the DMG-240 hangs on the wall (17-3/4" wide, 145 lb ship weight, 0.8 gallons water content, 50 psi ASME, 3/4" gas, 1" boiler connections); the DMG-380 stands on the floor (23-5/8" wide, 255 lb ship weight, 4.6 gallons water content, 80 psi ASME, 1" gas, 1-1/2" boiler connections) with 4"/6" coaxial venting against the 240's 3"/5".

Frequently asked questions

Which DMG is wall-mounted?

The DMG-240 is wall-hung with an optional floor base kit; the DMG-380 is the floor-standing commercial model with leveling legs.

How do their efficiency ratings differ?

The DMG-240 prints 95% AFUE (ENERGY STAR) while the DMG-380 prints 95% thermal efficiency — both as printed in the official brochure table.

Are both DMG models current?

Yes — both product pages carry current documents (Rev. A manuals, spec sheets and submittals through 2025/2026), so Boilers.ca records both as current.
