The 155 and 199 are the larger floor-standing Exalt models. The 155 fires 19,375 to 155,000 BTU/h with 142 MBH DOE capacity and a 123 MBH AHRI net rating; the 199 fires 24,875 to 199,000 BTU/h with 184 MBH DOE and 159 MBH AHRI. Both are rated 95% AFUE with an 8:1 turndown.
Venting is the practical separator: the 155 lists 2-inch venting up to 33 equivalent feet as well as 3-inch up to 100 feet, while the official table lists only 3-inch venting for the 199. Both use the 3-in-1 universal vent adapter and both include the Caleffi 548 separator and pre-installed circulator of the floor platform.
Weight rises from 157 to 169 lb and water volume from 3 to 4 gallons in the same 22 x 41 x 22 inch cabinet. The 199's higher minimum fire means it cycles more in a low-load home, so the heat-loss calculation — not the desire for headroom — should choose between them. Neither model is a combi.
