What actually separates them

The parts list in Document 1252K separates the line into assemblies that scale with size — the NTH210 column starts sharing its blower, heat exchanger and gas-valve parts with the top NTH285 rather than the smaller models — but the operator interface and diagnostics remain identical across the series.

Both models report numeric Holds and Lockouts from the shared tables, support the lead-lag menus for multiple-boiler plants, and keep the factory 195°F dual-thermistor high-limit arrangement described in the manual's sensor chapter. The service manual, Document 1291, applies to both.

The step from 150 to 210 exists for loads in between: a building whose heat-loss calculation crosses the 150 column on a design day, or that pairs the boiler with NTV water-heating duty at the 210 scale, is where the NTH210 earns its place.
