The Lx800 carries the full product-page treatment: 160 to 800 MBH input, 475 lb, 2" NPT female water connections, a 1" NPT male gas connection and 6" venting to a 100 ft maximum run per side. The Lx700 has no page row; its 160 to 700 MBH input range is documented in the Lx 150–800 I&O manual.
Both models share the same 160 MBH minimum fire, so at low fire the two boilers behave identically; the Lx800's 100 MBH of extra ceiling is pure headroom at the top of the range. NTI's manual rates sizes from 500 MBH — including both of these — by combustion (95%) and thermal (94%) efficiency rather than DOE AFUE.
For a plant whose load approaches 800 MBH the Lx800 is the size NTI fully specifies on its page, including the 6" venting plan. The Lx700 remains a legitimate intermediate step for loads beyond the Lx600 but below the 800, specified from NTI's LX700 submittal and I&O manual documents.
