NTI Trinity Lx800 in practice

The Lx800 tops NTI's Lx line at 800 MBH input, stepping the venting up to 6" pipe with a 100 ft maximum run per side. It weighs 475 lb, connects on 2" NPT female water with a 1" NPT male gas connection, and carries the line's easy-to-clean stainless heat exchanger, intuitive touchscreen and advanced cascade settings.

With a 160 MBH minimum fire the 800 is squarely a plant boiler for heavy light-commercial and commercial hydronic loads. NTI's page prints 94% AFUE and its manual rates the 500-and-up sizes by combustion (95%) and thermal (94%) efficiency, which Boilers.ca reports as published rather than restating one figure.

Best suited to

  • Commercial hydronic plants with loads between 160 and 800 MBH
  • Buildings whose load outgrows the Lx600 and Lx700 classes
  • Projects that can run 6" venting within 100 ft per side
