Comparison

Weil-McLain ECO Tec 110-C vs 150-C

Verdict in brief

The ECO Tec 110-C and 150-C are the two smaller ECO Tec combis with identical AFUE, turndown and cabinet: 95.0% AFUE at 10:1 in the 19 x 20 x 33 in frame. The 150-C fires to 150 MBH against 110 MBH and weighs 126 lb against 114 lb, which buys more DHW and heating headroom.

What actually separates them

Both combis pair ECO Tec's stainless steel firetube heating section with a brazed plate DHW module, rated 95.0% AFUE with 10:1 modulation in the same 19 x 20 x 33 inch cabinet. Heating figures step from 110 MBH input / 100 MBH DOE capacity on the 110-C to 150 MBH / 139 MBH on the 150-C.

Because the DHW module draws on the same firing range, the larger 150-C carries more hot-water headroom during heavy draws, and its 121 MBH net AHRI rating against 87 MBH marks the heating step. The physical difference is 12 lb — 126 lb against 114 lb — and 0.9 gallons more boiler water.

Venting is identical: 2" or 3" Category IV pipe to 100 equivalent feet, with the full allowance in both sizes. The choice follows the heat-loss calculation plus the household's simultaneous hot-water demand, not floor area.

Frequently asked questions

Are the 110-C and 150-C the same size?

The cabinet is the same 19 x 20 x 33 inches, but the 150-C weighs 126 lb against 114 lb and holds 3.1 gallons against 2.2 gallons of boiler water.

Which combi delivers more hot water?

The 150-C: its larger firing range powers the DHW module during heavy draws. Weil-McLain publishes DHW flow as up to 5.4 GPM at a 70°F rise for the largest ECO Tec combi (the 199-C).

What efficiency do both models share?

95.0% AFUE at 10:1 turndown, per the boiler manual ratings and the CA product page.
