About the Buderus G124X (Logano G124X II/SP)

The G124X II/SP is a cast-iron sectional boiler with a draft hood and an atmospheric gas burner, designed to heat water for single or multiple-occupancy buildings. The installation and maintenance manual lists three sizes: 18 (74 MBtu/hr output, 229 lb dry), 25 (103 MBtu/hr, 240 lb) and 32 (132.5 MBtu/hr, 337 lb), with water contents of 2.4, 2.9 and 3.4 US gallons. The series brochure adds AFUE 84.3%, 84.2% and 84.6% and net IBR ratings of 53,000, 75,000 and 96,000 BTU/hr.

The G124X is not listed in Bosch's current Canadian non-condensing catalog, which carries only the G115WS and G215. Its manuals are still served from the Canadian library - installation and maintenance (English and French), propane conversion kit instructions and high-altitude instructions - and the model appears in the discontinued Buderus documentation library. Boilers.ca treats it as a historical Canadian model with documentation support.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Buderus G124X still sold in Canada?

No. Bosch's current Canadian non-condensing catalog lists only the G115WS and G215. The G124X is absent from the catalog, but its English and French installation manuals, propane conversion and high-altitude instructions are still served from the Canadian technical-documentation library.

What output does the G124X come in?

Three sizes: G124X/18 at 74,000 BTU/hr, G124X/25 at 103,000 BTU/hr and G124X/32 at 132,500 BTU/hr, per the installation manual and series brochure.

Does the G124X need a chimney?

It is an atmospheric, natural-draft boiler with a draft hood, so it vents into a suitable chimney or vent system as detailed in the installation manual; an optional vent damper is also covered there.
