Camus Dynaforce DR4000 in practice
Per the official Dynaforce hydronic-heating submittal (99-0129 Rev. 06), the DR4000 is rated at 4000 MBTU/hr input and 3780 MBTU/hr output with a 18.6 US-gallon heat-exchanger water content and a 1912 lb shipping weight. It connects on 4" NPT water lines with a 2" NPT gas connection, and 208/230 vac, 60 hz, 3-phase, 5-wire — 30 a max (boiler only); 460 vac 3-phase optional.
The DR4000 uses the Dynaforce's all-welded 439 stainless 12-pass watertube heat exchanger with 316L waterways, rated to 160 psig with constant 40°F returns, fired by a radial knitted-stainless premix burner through Variable frequency drive (DR1200–DR5000). proven pilot ignition (dr3000–dr5000), with light-off at no more than 50% input.
Because Camus is a Mississauga, Ontario manufacturer, the Dynaforce is a Canadian-made condensing watertube option; Boilers.ca reproduces the manufacturer's printed figures here and leaves sizing of a boiler plant to a heat-loss and load calculation by a licensed contractor.
