Camus Dynaforce DR800

The Camus Dynaforce DR800 is the 800 MBH hydronic-heating size of Camus' fully condensing watertube line: 800 MBTU/hr input, 752 MBTU/hr output, up to 99% thermal efficiency and 5:1 turndown on the Honeywell SOLA control.

Camus Dynaforce DR800 in practice

Per the official Dynaforce hydronic-heating submittal (99-0129 Rev. 06), the DR800 is rated at 800 MBTU/hr input and 752 MBTU/hr output with a 6.6 US-gallon heat-exchanger water content and a 640 lb shipping weight. It connects on 2" NPT water lines with a 1" NPT gas connection, and 120 vac, 60 hz — 20 a max (boiler only).

The DR800 uses the Dynaforce's all-welded 439 stainless 12-pass watertube heat exchanger with 316L waterways, rated to 160 psig with constant 40°F returns, fired by a radial knitted-stainless premix burner through Pulse-width modulation (DR300–DR1000). direct igniter, 3 ignition tries then lockout, with light-off at no more than 50% input.

Because Camus is a Mississauga, Ontario manufacturer, the Dynaforce is a Canadian-made condensing watertube option; Boilers.ca reproduces the manufacturer's printed figures here and leaves sizing of a boiler plant to a heat-loss and load calculation by a licensed contractor.

Best suited to

  • Hydronic heating plants whose design load lands near 800 MBTU/hr input (752 MBTU/hr output)
  • Projects wanting a condensing watertube boiler with a Canadian-built heat exchanger and 40°F return capability
  • Multiple-boiler plants: the SOLA control cascades up to eight units

    Services

    Frequently asked questions

    Is the Dynaforce DR800 condensing?

Yes. Every Dynaforce is fully condensing with a welded 439 stainless watertube heat exchanger rated for constant 40°F system returns, up to 99% thermal efficiency and 9 ppm NOx.

    How big is the DR800?

The submittal prints 800 MBTU/hr maximum input and 752 MBTU/hr hydronic-heating output, with a 640 lb weight and 2" NPT water connections.

What fuel can a Dynaforce burn?

Natural gas or propane, with hydrogen blend up to 25% (UL Verified) also listed by Camus. Fuel type and conversion are decided and performed by a licensed contractor.
