The EFW Series is documented on the official page as one of HTP's current space-heating families (navigation: 'Residential • Elite Ultra Wall and Floor • Elite Fire Tube Ultra • EFW Series'). The page copy describes a 'modulating, condensing, stainless steel, wall mount boiler' available in sizes from 285,000 to 399,000 BTU/hr with modulation up to a 10:1 turndown, top or bottom supply and return connections, top or bottom gas connections, vent runs of up to 150 ft for the 285 and 100 ft for the 340-399, and five vent termination options.
The in-page rating table prints the three models: EFW-285WBN (28.5-285 MBH input, 263 MBH heating capacity, 228 MBH net AHRI water rating, 95% AFUE, 1-1/4 in. male water connections, 3 in. vent/air, 180 lb with water, 4.9 gal water content), EFW-340WBN (39.9-340 MBH input, 324 MBH capacity, 282 MBH net, 95.4% thermal efficiency, 1-1/2 in. water, 4 in. vent/air, 250 lb, 7.1 gal) and EFW-399WBN (39.9-399 MBH input, 380 MBH capacity, 330 MBH net, 95.4% thermal efficiency, 1-1/2 in. water, 4 in. vent/air, 250 lb, 6.4 gal). All three run on 120 V / 1 Ph / 60 Hz at less than 12 A.
The EFW uses an ASME 'H' stamped SA240-S43932 stainless-steel down-fired fire-tube heat exchanger with a dimpled-tube design, a direct-spark ignition, a 10k outdoor sensor, an integrated low-water cut-off with test switch, an advanced Honeywell Sola boiler controller with backlit display, Modbus RTU, DHW priority, outdoor reset, warm-weather shutdown and lead-lag cascade of up to eight EFW boilers. Field conversion from factory natural gas to propane uses the documented conversion kits. Boilers.ca found no official statement of Canadian sales on htproducts.com, so canadianStatus stays 'unknown'; gas, combustion and venting work belongs with a licensed contractor against the EFW I&O manual (420011327000).
