About the Exalt Wall Combi

The Exalt Wall Combi brings the Exalt Wall platform to homes that want one appliance for space heating and domestic hot water. Two models are published — combi 155 and combi 199 — both rated 95% AFUE with an 8:1 turndown and a stainless steel fire-tube heat exchanger, in natural-gas and propane versions (IDEX155C / IDEX155CLP and IDEX199C / IDEX199CLP). Heating input runs 19,375 to 155,000 BTU on the 155 and 24,875 to 199,000 BTU on the 199.

The domestic hot water side is documented in the model table: 4.0 GPM at a 70°F rise on the 155 and 5.3 GPM on the 199, with 3.7 and 4.9 GPM at a 75°F rise and 3.5 and 4.6 GPM at 80°F. Minimum DHW flow is 0.5 GPM, maximum DHW operating pressure is 150 psi, and the DHW outlet temperature can reach 150°F (65°C) against a 185°F (85°C) central-heating maximum. The combi cabinet is taller than the heat-only models — 21.75 x 33 x 16.5 inches, weighing 110 lb on the 155 and 128 lb on the 199.

Like the heat-only models the combis use the CTRLMax control with plain-text diagnostics, outdoor reset and DHW priority, and share the 3-in-1 universal vent adapter. The 155 combi lists 2-inch venting up to 33 feet, and both models allow 100 feet of 3-inch venting. The series is aimed at townhouses and compact detached homes where the combined heating and hot-water load fits within 199 MBH.
