Laars Mascot II LMC in practice
The LMC is the combination boiler and water heater of the Mascot II line, printed on the Document 1230E manual cover at 125 MBTU/h. The 1234D brochure rates it at 95.0% AFUE with 125 MBH maximum input and 115 MBH maximum output, and its domestic-water section prints a 4.0 gpm maximum flow at a 60°F rise, a 0.5 gpm minimum flow and a 180°F maximum outlet temperature.
The combi uses an automatic three-way valve for domestic-water priority, which the brochure says eliminates separate zone setup when the unit also serves an indirect tank, and a stainless steel brazed-plate DHW heat exchanger with an advanced flow switch. It shares the 100 lb cabinet, 1/2 in NPT gas connection and 3/4 in NPT supply and return connections with the LMH.
