About the Mascot II (discontinued)

The Mascot II covered both sides of the residential market in one 125 MBTU/h wall-hung platform: the LMH modulating boiler and the LMC combination boiler and water heater, each printed on the I&O manual's cover at 125 MBTU/h. The brochure's specification table rates the line at 95.0% AFUE with 125 MBH maximum input and 115 MBH maximum output, a 4.0 gpm domestic-water draw at a 60°F rise on the combi, a 30 psi pressure-relief setting, 1/2 in NPT gas and 3/4 in NPT supply and return connections, a stainless steel burner and heat exchanger, and a 100 lb weight.

Laars marketed the Mascot II on its condensing operation, a 20% to 100% modulating gas valve (5:1 turndown), 10 ppm NOx, Energy Star qualification, a built-in expansion tank sized for 26 gallons of system water, zero installation clearance and a sealed condensate trap that does not need priming at start-up. The brochure also lists the two venting arrangements — a 2 in two-pipe flue terminal or a 3/5 in concentric terminal — and the 2-year parts / 12-year heat exchanger warranty.

Laars no longer lists a current Mascot II product page in its category navigation, and the Document Library files the Mascot II I&O (Document 1230E), parts list and warranty under its Discontinued Documents category, with the discontinued-documents index listing the Mascot II install manual, users manual, start-up guide, literature and warranty. The live legacy page at /products/product/mascot-ii still hosts the 1230 manual and parts links.
