Lochinvar Knight KHB085 in practice
The KHB085 matches the wall-hung WHB085 figure for figure: 8.5 to 85 MBH of input, 79 MBH of DOE heating capacity, a 69 MBH AHRI net rating and 95% AFUE in the KHB I&O ratings table. For a basement floor installation it delivers the same low 8.5 MBH minimum fire as the wall version.
The floor boiler keeps the 1" heating connections, 1/2" gas connection and 2.2-gallon water content of its wall twin, and its venting is 2" to 50 equivalent feet or 3" to 100. Heating-only by design, it takes domestic hot water from an indirect tank such as the Squire, with the SMART SYSTEM providing the tank thermostat function.

No. The KHB is floor-standing, which is the point of the model versus the wall-hung WHB: it stands on the floor or a pad and reaches 85 MBH with the same ratings as the WHB085.
