Lochinvar Knight KHB110 in practice
The KHB110 brings the mid-size Knight ratings to the floor: 11 to 110 MBH of input with 102 MBH of DOE heating capacity and an 89 MBH AHRI net rating at 95% AFUE, identical to the wall-hung WHB110 in the KHB I&O ratings table. Homes whose heat-loss calculation lands near 100 MBH and whose mechanical room favors a floor boiler are its market.
It holds 2.3 gallons of water, connects on 1" heating fittings with a 1/2" gas connection, and — like the WHB110 — its 2" venting is capped at 40 equivalent feet, with 3" reaching 100. As a heating-only boiler it works with an indirect tank for domestic hot water, and the SMART SYSTEM control handles the tank thermostat and sensor inputs.
