Boiler Safety Limit Open. The boiler safety limit wired to terminal J5-1 (blocked flue/inlet switch) is open; before a call for heat the air pressure switch is closed, and with a blocked vent it opens after the blower starts so the control stops the start sequence. The table classifies it as Soft Lockout.
If a carbon-monoxide alarm sounds
- Leave the building immediately and get fresh air.
- Call 911. Do not go back inside until emergency services say it is safe.
- Have every fuel-burning appliance inspected before use.
