Utica Boilers SSC (UBSSC-050 to UBSSC-299)

The SSC is Utica's wall-hung condensing boiler on the patented 316L/444 stainless steel fin-coil heat exchanger (US Patent 10,012,413): six sizes UBSSC-050 through UBSSC-299 at 95.0% AFUE with a 5:1 turndown ratio, built-in primary/secondary manifold piping and pump, built-in probe-type LWCO and 150 psi MAWP. The product page stays live with current documents (IOM Rev. G) but the SSC sits outside Utica's current condensing category cards.

About the SSC (UBSSC-050 to UBSSC-299)

The SSC product page describes the wall-hung condensing boiler with 95% AFUE, a built-in primary/secondary manifold with pump, a built-in low water cut-off, a 5:1 combustion turndown ratio, approval for PVC, CPVC and polypropylene venting, and the patented (No. 10,012,413) high-grade 316L/444 stainless steel fin-coil heat exchanger with flame sight glass — rated 150 psi MAWP and ENERGY STAR certified. The research headline records six sizes as printed on the official sell sheet and IOM: UBSSC-050/075/100/150/200/299, with inputs from 10-50 MBH (UBSSC-050) up to 60-299 MBH (UBSSC-299).

Status as printed on September 9, 2026: the SSC page carries no '(While supplies last)' badge and its 'Current Documents' tab is populated (SSC IOM Rev. G, spec sheet Rev. C, submittal Rev. B, parts Rev. J, user manual Rev. D), so Boilers.ca records the line with productStatus 'current'; the research notes the SSC holds a legacy listing position — it is not shown on Utica's condensing category cards — so its current status means documented and serviceable rather than actively marketed.

The control is a text-display design whose manual prints a short list of alphanumeric codes (13 rows, including lockout A-06) inside the troubleshooting trees; Utica's SSC code list is documented in the error-code records. The ratings are the US-market figures Utica prints and no Canadian listing was verified, so canadianStatus stays 'unknown'. Gas work belongs with a licensed contractor against the SSC IOM Rev. G (PN 240011320).

Frequently asked questions

Is the Utica SSC a current condensing boiler?

The SSC page keeps live, current documents (IOM Rev. G) and no obsolescence badge, so Boilers.ca records productStatus 'current'; the research notes the SSC is not shown on Utica's condensing category cards, so treat 'current' as documented-and-serviceable rather than actively marketed.

What models does the SSC line cover?

Six wall-hung sizes as printed: UBSSC-050, UBSSC-075, UBSSC-100, UBSSC-150, UBSSC-200 and UBSSC-299.

Does the SSC have fault codes?

The SSC is a text-display control; the IOM Rev. G prints a short list of alphanumeric codes (e.g. E33, E39, E40, E44-E46, E51, E52, E60, E65 and the A-06 safety-relay lockout), documented in Utica's SSC error-code records.
