The CI2-500 is the largest model of the CI2 entry chassis; the CI2-750 opens the middle chassis group. Maximum input rises from 500,000 to 750,000 BTU (147 to 220 kW), and the minimum fire also rises — from a 50,000 to a 75,000 BTU (22.0 kW) floor — so the 750 idles at a higher minimum in part-load conditions.
The physical step is real: weight grows from 789 lb (358 kg) to 963 lb (437 kg), water content from 29 to 50 USG, and flue and combustion-air collars from 4 to 6 inches. The printed combustion-efficiency row eases from 97% to 96.9% between the two chassis groups.
Both models share the Inox-Crossal heat exchanger, MatriX cylinder burner, Lambda PrO₂ combustion trim and Viessmann One Base controls of the CI2 line. The 750 earns its place when the plant load genuinely approaches its ceiling; a load that fits the 500 keeps the lighter, higher-efficiency row of the entry chassis.
