The Alta ('ALTA — High Efficiency Condensing Gas Boiler. Stainless Steel Heat Exchanger, Combi & Heating Models Available!') is the current wall-hung condensing line of the Burnham brand, built and documented by U.S. Boiler Company. It is controlled by the OneTouch system — combustion is set automatically at start-up, with sensor-less, rate-based reset that provides outdoor-reset performance without an outdoor sensor, built-in self diagnostics, warm-weather shutdown, continuous self-optimization and a simple two-step LP conversion at the gas valve switch and display (no kits). U.S. Boiler confirms Alta does NOT use the Sage controllers found on K2/Aspen/Alpine.
Six models are documented in the official Alta Product Data Sheet ratings table (5/26 print), every one at 95.0% AFUE: combis ALTAC-136B (13.6–120 MBH heating input, 113 MBH heating capacity, 98 MBH net AHRI, 3.7/3.4 GPM DHW at 70°F/77°F rise, DHW input 13.6–136) and ALTAC-200 (20–150 heating input, 141/123 MBH, 5.2/4.7 GPM, DHW input 20–200); heating-only ALTA-080 (8–80), ALTA-120B (13.6–120), ALTA-150 (20–150) and ALTA-180 (20–180). All six vent in 2" (CPVC/PVC or polypropylene) and run a 316L stainless steel heat exchanger with altitude capability to 10,100 ft on 'G00' suffix builds.
Standard equipment per the PDS includes a 30 PSI standard safety relief valve with ASME 'H' certification (50 PSI MAWP, 210°F maximum temperature setting, 180°F target setpoint), a UL353 boiler flow safety switch, low gas pressure capability (min 2.5 in. w.c. natural gas / 8.0 in. w.c. LP), the wall-hanging kit with optional floor stand, and a Grundfos 26-99 circulator on heating-only models or a Grundfos UPS-78 Special on combi models. Boilers.ca documents all six Alta models at model level.
