HTP EFT Combi Er:68 — Mixing Valve Operation Error (mixing Valve Stuck in Initial Position)

Er:68

Needs attentionHTP EFT Combi boilers (EFTC wall and floor; LP-496 floor table, LP-520 wall prints the same table without Er:30)

Mixing valve operation error (mixing valve stuck in initial position). This Error Code will go away when the condition is remedied. If Error happens again: 1. Turn power OFF and ON at the main power switch internal to the appliance. 2. Check wiring connections to mixing valve. Ensure all are secure. 3. Replace mixing valve. 4. If the problem persists, replace the main control. The table classifies it as Error (clears when the condition is remedied).

Applies to

This domestic hot water fault code is displayed by the NGTX-900C / P-920C_CB-HTP control (Er:## codes) on EFT Combi models (EFTC-140W/199W wall, EFTC-140F/199F floor), as documented in EFT Combi Floor Installation Manual, LP-496 Rev. 000 Rel. 013 (10.8.19), Table 26 (LP-496 Rev. 000 Rel. 013). Controller: NGTX-900C / P-920C_CB-HTP control (Er:## codes). Source manual: LP-496 Rev. 000 Rel. 013 (2019-10-08).

Why a code is not a diagnosis

A DHW code involves the hot-water side: sensors, flow, the mixing/bypass valve or the DHW heat exchanger. It does not say whether the fix is a sensor, a valve or a flush.

Safe things to observe

  • Note the code and whether the problem follows a hot-water draw or appears at all times.

Do not

  • Do not open the appliance to test DHW components yourself.

How professional service helps

  1. A technician tests the DHW sensors, flow switch and valve circuits, and cleans the DHW path where the manual directs.
  2. Combustion and safety devices are verified with an analyser and the manufacturer's procedure after any repair.

Frequently asked questions

Can I clear this code myself?
