IBC VX “Controller board” alert
Error – Controller Board
The manual lists this alert when the control board detects an internal error. Poor incoming power is the typical cause noted in the manual, and a reboot of the boiler may clear it.

Why a code is not a diagnosis
An internal control-board alert says little about the boiler's gas or water side: the fault is in the electronics, and the manual notes it is 'typically a result of poor incoming power.' Supply quality, grounding and the board itself all need checking if it recurs.

- Note the alert text and whether it appears after storms, power cuts or other electrical events.
- Confirm the boiler's breaker is not tripping repeatedly.
- If the alert clears after a restart and does not return, no immediate action may be needed — but recurring board alerts deserve a service visit.
