About the Exalt Floor Combi

The Exalt Floor Combi combines the floor-standing Exalt chassis with on-demand domestic hot water. Two models are published — combi 155 and combi 199 — rated 95% AFUE with an 8:1 turndown and AHRI net ratings of 123 and 159 MBH. As with the heat-only floor models, each size ships in natural-gas or propane versions (IDEXFS155C / IDEXFS155CLP and IDEXFS199C / IDEXFS199CLP).

The DHW figures match the wall combis: 4.0 GPM at a 70°F rise on the combi 155 and 5.3 GPM on the combi 199, with 3.7 and 4.9 GPM at 75°F and 3.5 and 4.6 GPM at 80°F, a 0.5 GPM minimum flow, 150 psi maximum DHW pressure and a 150°F (65°C) DHW maximum. The floor chassis adds the Caleffi 548 separator with air elimination, the pre-installed internal circulator and left-or-right water and gas connections, in a 22 x 41 x 22 inch cabinet weighing 181 lb (155) and 191 lb (199).

Venting is 3-inch up to 100 equivalent feet, with 2-inch up to 33 feet on the 155. The CTRLMax control provides DHW priority, outdoor reset and plain-text diagnostics. The series suits homes with a mechanical-room floor and a combined heating and hot-water load inside 199 MBH — the combi replaces both a boiler and a separate DHW tank.
