Peerless Cast 92 IGN LOCKOUT — Ign Lockout
IGN LOCKOUT
IGN LOCKOUT. Ignition failure: boiler restarts the sequence and will try 3 times, then locks out; display shows IGN LOCKOUT alternating with the date & time of lockout. Reset: turn the boiler on/off switch OFF, then back ON (IOM p. 87; Table 11.1, p. 88). The table classifies it as lockout.
If you smell gas
- Stop what you are doing. Do not use phones, switches, matches or anything that can spark inside.
- Go outside and leave the door open behind you.
- Call the FortisBC 24-hour emergency line at 1-800-663-9911 or dial 911.

Why a code is not a diagnosis
An ignition code says the burner did not prove a flame when it should have; it does not say why. Gas supply, ignition components, grounding, venting and the control module each need testing on site.

- If you smell gas, stop, go outside and call your gas utility's emergency line or 911 before anything else.
- Note the exact code and what the appliance was doing when it appeared.
- Check whether other gas appliances in the building are working.
